Dr. Kristaq Gazeli graduated from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (E&CE) of the University of Patras (UoP) in 2011. He obtained the PhD Degree in Physics (Université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour – UPPA, Pau, France) and in E&CE (UoP) in 2015 and 2017, respectively. His thesis was devoted to the experimental study of cold micro-plasmas generated with different voltage waveforms for biomedical applications. He was a Doctorate Fellow of the Mediterranean Office for Youth (2011 – 2012), Research Engineer with the IPREM Institute (UPPA, 2013-2014), Postdoctoral Researcher with the Laboratoire de Physique des Gaz et des Plasmas (LPGP, Paris Saclay University, Orsay, France, 2016-2019), Visiting Researcher at ENAL of the University of Cyprus (end of 2019), and Postdoctoral Researcher with the Laboratoire des Sciences des Procédés et des Matériaux (Université Sorbonne Paris Nord, Villetaneuse, France, 2020). His research interests are mostly focused on the development of advanced optical diagnostics (OES, LIF/TALIF, TDLAS, etc.) for the characterization of the physics of reactive plasmas and their interaction with different targets for novel applications (such as biomedical and surface analysis).
