Join us for the AID4PV Online Workshop on 29 November 2023 @10:00 - 12:00 EET (Nicosia, CY Time)

The PV Technology Laboratory of FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy of the University of Cyprus hosts the Online Workshop “UAV-based decision-making and modular approach to support PV plant diagnosis using EL, RGB, IRT imagery, correlated with electrical data analysis and advanced reporting and geovisualization (AID4PV)” on the 29th of November 2023 at 10:00 - 12:00 EET (Nicosia, CY Time).

This workshop will provide technical information in the field of operation, inspection and diagnosis of PV plants. Emphasis will be given to the diagnosis of PV failures using the UAV platform developed under the AID4PV consortium (TSK Information Technologies Division, PV Technology Laboratory, UCY and Circuits, Sensors and Renewable Energy Sources (CSRES) Laboratory & Research Team of Spatial Informatics (SenseLab), Technical University of Crete, TUC).

The workshop is intended for local and international partners, researchers and stakeholders in the PV energy sector. The participants will get the required technical background and in-field knowledge of the work carried out in the AID4PV project.

The PV Technology Laboratory of FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy of the University of Cyprus hosts the Online Workshop of “Modernising the distribution grid for enabling high penetration of photovoltaic electricity through advanced data analytic operational observability and management (ELECTRA)” on the 7th of August 2023 at 10:00 – 12:00 EEST (Nicosia, CY Time).

This workshop will provide cutting-edge insights and extensive technical information in the area of data-driven flexibility tools that ensure grid-friendly integration of renewables in smart grids, presented by the PV Technology Laboratory, UCY. The Regulatory Framework of Cyprus’ Electricity Market and the roadmap towards Energy Transition will be presented by the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority and the Energy policy framework for higher renewable shares by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry.

The PV Technology Laboratory of FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy of the University of Cyprus hosts the Online Workshop “Reducing the photovoltaic operation and maintenance (O&M) costs through an advanced online platform (ROM-PV)” on the 8th of June 2023 at 10:00 - 12:00 EEST (Nicosia, CY Time).

This workshop will provide technical information in the field of performance, reliability, and monitoring of PV systems. Emphasis will be given to the diagnosis of failures and soiling in monitored PV systems, presented by the PV Technology Laboratory, UCY and the Centre for Advanced Studies in Energy and Environment (CEACTEMA), University of Jaén. The commercial product, ACTIS EPR platform operated by Alectris, with data-driven functionalities will be demonstrated.

The workshop is intended for local and international partners, researchers and stakeholders in the PV energy sector. The participants will get the required technical background and in-field knowledge of the work carried out in the ROM-PV project.

PANTERA & SUPEERA Joint Workshop on 8 November 2022 @15:00 to 18:30 EET: "Boosting the R&I of Smart Grids, Storage and Energy communities. Country: Malta!

On the 8th of November 2022, PANTERA & SUPEERA are joining forces to organize the workshop "Boosting the R&I of Smart Grids, Storage and Energy communities. Country: Malta!", at the 13th Mediterranean Conference on Power Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Energy Conversion (MedPower 2022), with the objective to bring the stakeholders of Malta actively participating in the proceedings to address all the below issues. Together, we will try to pave the way forward for helping the country to move faster toward the much-wanted energy transition to the low carbon economy.

Malta is an active member of the EU since May, 1st, 2004 and actively works towards the success of the energy transition objectives to achieve the declared policies for achieving a low carbon economy. However, the following areas are still a concern in achieving carbon neutrality and we would like to address them in this panel that brings together stakeholders in the field of smart grids, storage and local energy systems:

- R&I activities in the field are weak calling for more national and European support to raise opportunities, bring closer to the wealth of EU knowledge and offer the means to address local needs with the support of the industry and broader communities.

- Enabling technologies like digitalization, storage, smart grids, e-Mobility and reliable communications are not adequately addressed to facilitate the much-wanted transition for the effective use of emerging technologies that include distributed RES, e-mobility with smart charging and V2G attributes and demand flexibility.

- End users and citizens are not adequately empowered through codes, appropriate regulation and market instruments to build and operate effective energy management systems utilizing the emerging technologies that can grow into efficient energy communities with appropriate technologies in place to facilitate optimal use of local resources for the benefit of the citizens.

This workshop will provide technical information in the field of performance, reliability, monitoring and maintenance activities in PV systems. Emphasis will be given on the classification of failures and losses, criticality evaluation of detected incidents and generation of recommendation actions. The developed cloud-based platform for PV Assets Diagnosis and will also be demonstrated by Isotrol.

The workshop is intended for local and international partners, researchers and stakeholders in the PV energy sector. The participants will get the required technical background and in-field knowledge of the work carried out in the 1C4PV project.

Join us for PANTERA / SUPEERA Workshop "Fostering EU Clean Energy transition in Hungary" on 26 Ocotber 2022 @09:00 – 17:00 CEST

On the 26th of October 2022, PANTERA EIRIE Platform and SUPEERA are joining forces to organize the workshop "Fostering EU Clean Energy transition in Hungary", with the objective to enhance collaboration in R&I activities in Hungary, facilitate knowledge exchange and showcase best practices of how international networking and cooperation between national stakeholders and key international associations and organizations can be beneficial for establishing long-lasting interactions and fostering joint R&I activities.

This workshop will offer a detailed overview of the European policies, strategies, EU funding programmes and collaboration opportunities at the disposal to the research community of Hungary with the aim to bringing them closer to the R&I activities of Europe and get active with the SET Plan process. Meanwhile, the invited experts and stakeholders will share their experience in the project implementation.

The PV Technology Laboratory of FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy of the University of Cyprus hosts the Online Workshop “Ensuring an optimum and reliable photovoltaic performance (SMARTER-PV)” on the October 27th 2021, 10:00-11:30 EEST (Nicosia, Cyprus).

This workshop will provide technical information in the field of performance, reliability, and monitoring of PV systems. Emphasis will be given on the diagnosis of failures and trend-based performance losses in monitored PV systems. The developed solution, R shiny application (interactive web app) with data analytic functionalities will also be demonstrated.

The workshop is intended for local and international partners, researchers and stakeholders in the PV energy sector. The participants will get the required technical background and in-field knowledge of the work carried out in the SMARTER-PV project.

DERlab / ERIGrid 2.0 / PANTERA Webinar: Remote Testing & EIRIE Platform - 8 March 2021 at 9.30am-11.30am

On 8 March 2021 at 9.30am-11.30am, DERlab Working Group 4 “Strengthening the integration of laboratories & researcher exchange”, the ERIGrid 2.0 project and the PANTERA project are organizing a joint webinar "Remote Testing & EIRIE Platform".

The ERIGrid 2.0 project provides engineers in power system testing, smart grids and energy systems free funding to access the best laboratories of Europe and perform their experimental research. Access to physical labs can be on-site or remote, depending on the conditions of specific laboratories. In the webinar ERIGrid 2.0 partners will showcase the project's infrastructure and present the collected experiences with remote lab access.

The PANTERA project has been working on developing an interactive multi-functional platform (called EIRIE platform) that will act as the meeting point of all actors active in the field of energy research & innovation from all Europe.
