Anna Michael has graduated from the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering of the University of Cyprus in 2019. Her studies have equipped her with a solid background on the fundamentals of electromagnetism, vibrations, dynamics, thermodynamics, computational engineering, material science, incompressible fluid mechanics etc. Her bachelor thesis focused on modelling a brain’s deformation caused by an injury and the procedure of decompressive craniectomy (DC). This was achieved based on a computational analysis of the brain’s tissue mechanical behavior, through mathematical equations and a simulation of real brain’s geometry. She is currently continuing her studies with a postgraduate program in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at the University of Cyprus. Anna’s research interests lie in the field of condition monitoring of PV systems, big data, data analytics for predictive maintenance and failure detection and classification.
