Katerina Maxouti is a Project Manager of the PV Technology Laboratory, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy at the University of Cyprus. She holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Cyprus, during which she received three awards for her academic excellence, including the first place at the “Students in Research Competition FOITO 2012” from the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation. Afterwards, Katerina moved to Germany to continue her studies in postgraduate level. In 2014, she received her MSc in Molecular Science from the Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU) Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. She is doctoral of natural sciences candidate at FAU, where she worked as research and teaching assistant at the Institute of Organic Chemistry II. In 2019, Katerina and her team were granted with the Renate-Wittern-Sterzel Gleichstellungspreis for promoting equality and diversity at the university. Before joining FOSS, she completed the European Commission’s Blue Book Traineeship at the European Research Council Executive Agency (ERCEA) in Brussels, Belgium.
