Dr Georgios N. Konstantinou has received his Ph.D. in theoretical Solid State Physics with excellence in 2016 from University of Cyprus. During both his undergraduate and Ph.D studies he was awarded with full-time scholarships for being the highest-grade student of Physics Department and various other awards. He was also proposed to be the best Ph.D. student of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences of the University of Cyprus. His research interests include (among others) Quantum Matter in strong magnetic and electric fields (QHE systems), Topological Insulators and Graphene, Thermodynamic and Transport properties of two dimensional electron gases in semiconducting thin films. Relevant articles on these scientific areas are published in several Physics journals. He is currently working as a research fellow at the PV technology laboratory of the University of Cyprus.
